I was one of a group of Creative Partners asked to host a workshop in which participants were asked to Hack a pair of converse shoes. Examples of my prototypes and those made by participants below.
Reverse Impression: Playing on the idea that Converse Chuck’s are always cooler when dirtied up on the outside, I wanted my workshop to reverse this aesthetic by using the inside of the shoe as a canvas. The idea being to cast a reverse impression of the shoe with plaster and then use this as a starting point for a sculptural piece. Thanks to ceramic specialist & my technician on the day: Matt Raw
